Maharshi Dayanand University, ab initio established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976 with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological, and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand.
It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of the University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants on 16 Mar 1979.
B.Ed Admission Process & Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduation / Post Graduation with 50% Marks.
Documents Required
- 10th / 12th Mark Sheet & Certificate
- UG Mark Sheet
- PG Mark Sheet (If applicable)
- Original Migration Certificate as per requirement
- Five Passport Size Photos
- ID Proof (anyone)
- Duration of B.Ed. Course: 2 years
Admission Process
Every candidate who aspires to earn a degree in B.Ed. should appear for the entrance exam that is conducted by the recognized board of India. The application forms are provided by paying a small fee to the board.
The entrance exam comprises objective type questions and will have around 200 questions. Subjects include Logical Reasoning, GK, English, Awareness and Teaching Field. Upon passing the exam, the candidate will be notified to join the college.
